Ok, so each week, you should try and make sure you are loaded up with lots of varieties of fresh vegetables. Ab workouts for m
en loves vegetables so you should to. I recommend getting local produce when it is in season, obviously in winter though you will have to resort to the produce at the grocery store. I like to make sure I have plenty of vegetables such as fresh mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, onions, broccoli, zucchini etc. to have with my morning eggs. Now back to the fridge here are some other staples I like:
Chopped walnuts, pecans, almonds.
Cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, and yogurt.
Whole flax seeds or chia seeds. You can grind these using a coffee grinder. These need to be ground fresh as the omega 3 polyunsaturated fats will oxidate. Add to your salad or yogurt.
Whole eggs - Free range are the best.
Salsa - Keeping your meals tasty is the biggest challenge.
Avocados - these are a must and a great replacement for butter to place on your sandwiches.
Nut butters - Mix together almond butter with sesame seed butter, or even cashew butter with macadamia butter, delicious and unbeatable nutrition!
Lettuce, spinach and carrots.
Home-made salad dressing - using balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil.
Replace any white bread or rice with whole meal or grain.
Rice bran and wheat germ - this is great to add to your smoothies or yogurt which is my personal favorite and is essential to your ab workouts for men.
